SLIS is designed for educational use and supports students through a structured digital learning environment.
2. Parent, Guardian, Teacher, and School Supervision
Students may use the platform under parent, guardian, teacher, or school supervision. SLIS works to keep learning data visible only to appropriate authorized people.
3. Child and Student Profiles
Student profiles help SLIS deliver grade, medium, lesson, assessment, and progress experiences appropriate for each learner.
4. Information Collected from or about Students
SLIS collects only information reasonably needed to provide learning services, including identity, grade, medium, school, account, progress, assessment, support, communication, and usage information.
5. Learning Activity and Assessment Information
Progress, attempts, scores, lesson completion, activity responses, and performance information help personalize learning and support parent, teacher, and school guidance.
6. Device and Usage Information
Basic device, browser, IP, and usage data may be collected to secure accounts, improve performance, and troubleshoot technical issues.
7. How SLIS Uses Child/Student Information
SLIS uses student information to create accounts, deliver lessons, record progress, provide support, generate reports, protect safety, and improve educational services.
8. No Targeted Advertising to Students
SLIS does not use student learning data for third-party targeted advertising and does not build student advertising profiles.
9. WhatsApp and Parent Communication
WhatsApp communication may be used for registration alerts, reminders, account updates, support, and parent communication through the Meta WhatsApp Cloud API.
10. School and Teacher Access
Authorized schools and teachers may access relevant student learning information to manage classes, assignments, lessons, and reports.
11. Parent Rights
Parents and guardians may request access, correction, export, account closure, or deletion of eligible student information.
12. Data Correction and Deletion
Valid correction and deletion requests can be sent to SLIS support. SLIS may verify identity and authority before changing student records.
13. Data Retention
SLIS retains student data as needed for education, support, security, operations, and legal requirements, and may delete or de-identify information after valid requests subject to backups and required records.
14. Security
SLIS uses reasonable safeguards including HTTPS, restricted access, database protections, admin controls, and operational monitoring.
